About Cold Process Soap

While cold process soaps have been around for thousands of years, more and more they are being replaced with chemical filled counterparts.  These chemical filled soaps can irritate and even dry out your skin.  Cold process soaps cut out the chemicals and replace them with classic ingredients: fat, lye, and fragrance.  After combining the ingredients together, they are left to cure for 4-6 weeks before they are ready to be used.

To extend the lifetime of your cold process soap do your best to keep it dry between uses.  If possible, use a soap dish with drainage, and put it in a place where it won't get much water splashed on it during a shower, especially if you share the shower with someone else!
